clever diy snowflakes

With pip cleaners or pom poms, the intimidating task of making a snowflake becomes so easy and quick. I will, therefore, call these 5 ways to craft snowflakes for winter and Christmas super clever.

Like when you are going to make one using a knitting pattern, either you flee away from the instructions or the hassle of keeping the snowflake straight.

Easiest Ways to Craft Snowflakes From Pipe Cleaner

But with macrame or snowflake out of pipecleaner, all that is needed is some gluing, trimming, etc. And they hold the shape quite well, but the shine is out of this world.

So, with these snowflake winter craft ideas, I am pretty sure you can beautify your Christmas tree proudly (at least, that’s what I think).

Way #1: Large Snowflake from Pipe Cleaner

DIY PIPER CLEANER Large Snowflakes

This beaded, large pipe cleaner snowflake needs the pipe cleaners in a single colour, like white, with about 18 parts out of 12 pipe cleaners. That are 6 for each snowflake pattern. You can also DIY this snowflake using pink.

The second layer of snowflake made from cuttings of the pipe cleaner is really nice. I will end up with the royal bead in the centre. You can put as many beads as you wish and even keep it simple.

  • One snowflake requires 12 sticks

Way #2: Two-Colour Pipe Cleaner Snowflakes

DIY PIPE CLEANER Easy Snowflakes

These pipe cleaner snowflakes are a lot less messy, quick, and beautiful. Yup, you will choose a two-colour pipe cleaner (chenille wire), and the results are just so irresistible.

The reason it looks a lot better than the previous one, in my opinion, is that it only folds loops in the pipe cleaner and not other shapes.

Just one bead in the centre is needed, and about 6 pipe cleaners per snowflake with 6cm loops. This time, choose from blue-white and pink-white snowflakes.

  • Snowflake Diameter: 12 cm

Way #3: DIY Snowflakes from Yarn

Yarn Snowflakes

With wrapping, some macrame, and trimming, make these easy and simple yarn snowflakes in two varieties. That is one with three patterns and one with two parts (a smaller one).

The middle has interesting puffs without knitting, then lace and edging in the last one.

This seems quite knitted, but just needs some knotting. I am pretty sure they will work well outside overflowing. Use a white bead in the centre as it looks better.

  • White cotton or 100% acrylic yarn
  • A book for making the pom pom
  • Beads
  • Scirssors

Way #4: Perfect Classic Snowflake from Pipe Cleaner

DIY PIPE CLEANER Quick Snowflakes

I will always prefer a classic life-like snowflake that can be made from a pipe cleaner, as it has the most beautiful pattern. Pretty much seems you need about 9 pipe cleaners only.

When you halve each pipe cleaner, you will also get the snowflake with half much diameter, about 6cm.

These are so easy and need little gluing. This one is also layered, aren’t you surprised?

  • Pipe cleaners in any colour
  • Beads

Way #5: Two-layer Snowflake from Pipe Cleaner

Fluffy Snowflakes

Seems unique, yup, they are. Make these two-layer flower snowflakes from pipe cleaners if you wanna practice this technique. The result is quite elegant, though it feels a lot more like a flower craft for using as a hair tie charm.

You must admire the internal twists of each petal and how well the folding is. I am simply in love with this Christmas craft. Use a sey of three beads with metal jewlery.
