Tutorial to Crochet the Ghost with Wands

This tutorial shows how to make two small crochet ghosts. You start by making the body with white yarn. You use a magic ring and make rounds of single crochet stitches. You add two arms using a special stitch. You must put the safety eyes in the middle of the body and add stuffing inside.

Then, you make a hat. You can use black or purple yarn. The hat has a tall cone shape and a flat brim. Finally, you make a yellow star wand using wire. You sew the hat to the ghost and add a face.

Technical Stitch Instructions

The “POP” Stitch (used for arms):
This is a cluster of partial double crochets worked into one stitch to create a bump.

  1. Yarn over and insert the hook into the stitch.

  2. Pull up a loop, yarn over, and pull through the first two loops on the hook.

  3. Repeat this three more times in the same stitch until you have five loops on your hook.

  4. Yarn over and pull through all five loops at once.

  5. Push the cluster toward the outside of the work so it looks like a small arm.
