You can use felt, metallic foil, fabric, and many other materials to add interesting details to a yarn plushie. For example, a stuffed head for a doll wearing a pom pom outfit can be crafted, using a piece of white fabric and stuffing. Similarly, you can embroider yarn on a felt piece to make insects like a butterfly and a ladybug.
Metallic foil works fine for making base models for a pom pom plushie. In this discussion, I will show some REALLY clever ways to craft a yarn plushie using a pom pom + other materials. Includes cat, snail, butterfly, unicorn, and beauty doll plushies.
Many of you may already have tried feeling arms and legs for an animal plushie. This and much more will be talked about in this discussion.

Suggestion # 1 : Craft This Pom Pom Yarn Plush Doll

Make these little pom pom beauty dolls for Weddings, Christmas, or NEW Year’s. The head is crafted from a piece of stuffed fabric ball with hand-drawn long-eyelash eyes and a simple but cute mouth.
You can also use a styrofoam ball or a small plastic ball instead. They are probably designed to wear a tiered gown with a collar and a beret hat.
This whole plushie needs unfinished pom poms or yarn wrappings and tassels for the hair. The sequence of wrapping is 100, 50, 20, and 40 from the bottom up.
Suggestion # 2: Craft A Pom Pom Yarn Cat Plush

Let’s craft this pair of black and white standing cat plushies as a gift for newlyweds or life-long couples. The supplementary material is felt used to craft legs, arms, ears, and whiskers of the plushies.
You can optionally accessorize the black one with a ribbon, a satin ribbon necklace, and a tiny felt rose.
I like the idea of using felt for the whiskers, making them stand, and using a two-color pom pom for the belly. The sequence is 170, 40, 15, 200, and 45 wraps of yarn, so grab enough of it accordingly.
Suggestion # 3: Craft This Beautiful Yarn Spring Butterfly

Let’s craft these small and colorful yarn butterflies by embroidering on a piece of felt. These are perfect add-ons for hair clips, gift boxes, and doll heads.
You embroider the wing pattern using one color or multiple colors of yarn, too. Begin by drawing a butterfly wing on rough paper.
You can use this to take a full butterfly cutout from the brown felt. Be sure to keep both the wings symmetrical and one piece by folding the first half and then cutting 2nd wing. Then use a sewing needle to work on embroidery.

Suggestion #4: Craft Adorable Yarn Snail Plush

We can make this authentic, and oh-so-cute yarn snail by sculpting a metallic foil base body and covering it with yarn. You can add this snail plushie to your table centrepiece or mason jar fairy decorations.
You can also crochet mini beaded flowers using lace yarn in different colors and attach on the head and body of the snail. You can also optionally attach a black thread smile.
Suggestion # 5 : Craft Yarn Unicorn Plushie Toy

This colorburst standing unicorn plushie for baby girls is crafted from two small socks and 6 colors of yarn. The rainbow mane, tasseled tail, and foot rings are my favorite part of this.
Such a bulkier and longer mane will also help you hide the seams, as the neck is made by force-bending and sewing the stuffed body piece. All four legs are sewn and attached later on. It can stand on a kids’ study table as a support buddy.
