Welcome to another discussion on No-Knit Yarn Plushies. This week, I will talk about a few more REALLY cute plushies for summer, including a duck, donut, dog, turtle, and two spring memory plushies. These are all 10 to 15-minute plushies you can craft with the kids at the beginning of summer vacations.
These plushies require both the finished and unfinished pom poms, and you can learn many NEW pom pom techniques. They will make the BEST gifts of this year!

Suggestion #1: DIY A Duck Plushie
This is a 20-minute pom pom plushie of the viral LaLaFanFan duck plush and ends up wearing a shoulder bag and bow. Perfect buddy for summer picnics, especially if you can also prepare a small fabric bucket hat for the plushie.
The signature blush on the Chubby Cheeks of this plushie is sewn on after finishing the head pom pom using a needle. With the ball pom pom legs and arms, this is the cutest plushie you can have this summer!
Suggestion #2: DIY A Donut Plushie
Let’s DIY the Purr-Fect donut plushie with icing and sprinkles following this method. Finishes off big enough to fit in a paper plate. And as she puts up, “they look like real donuts!”
So, great for decorating a Food Stall, adding to party decorations, and simply using as a keychain. Can be crafted in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or any flavor color-combo you like.
The idea is to stack 8 wrappings and complete them together to crochet a tube. Then just join the ends to finish it off after trimming. We shall also side-join the white and brown wrappings before that. White ones must also contain colorful threads.
Suggestion #3: DIY A Dog Plushie
This is the easiest no-knit puppy plushie I have ever discussed on Craftshive, but definitely the cutest and gift-ready, too. It is pretty similar to the horse plushie I talked about in the holiday plushie discussion. It has no arms or legs, just a body tassel and a head. Makes a last-minute Love Gift!
Pom pom is only used for the muzzle and the hair; the remaining is just trimmed yarn wrapping. You will want to wrap the yarn in three colors at the same time. Finish it off with a little ribbon bow, safety beads, and a heart neck accessory.
Suggestion #4: DIY a Strawberry Plushie
Finally, let’s craft a no-glue, no-knit, and life-sized strawberry plushie in 10 minutes through this method. Maybe I am a bit late for this plushie, so recommend it as a spring memory keychain and dining table addition.
The red part of this plushie with white embroidery seeds is a pom pom, while the leaf and white and orange flower part is just a loopy wrapping. A marker is used as a base for these loopy wrappings.
Suggestion #5: DIY Bee Plushie
This smiling bumblebee plushie with felt wings is also a spring memory plushie. However, I chose it because of the association with the sunflower – the summer’s flower. Requires stacking wrappings of black and yellow for the striped body of this bee plushie.
The head is just a sphere pom pom. For the antenae I, however, recommend wrapping black yarn around a craft wire. It is a perfect gift plushie for little ones.
Suggestion #6: DIY Turtle Plushie
Ending with this CUTEST pom pom baby turtle plushie with a smiling face, bow, and spotted two-color shell. You can use it as a trinket and jewelry, too, as there is a dip in the middle. Start by wrapping both strands of brown and dark pistachio yarn together till the 200 wraps.
Then finish it as a semi-sphere 6.5 cm pom pom. The remaining parts only require yarn wrappings in beige and ball pom poms.
