Simple Ways to Craft Pom Pom Yarn Bear Plushies

Cute, LOVELY, and store-bought quality teddy bear plushies to make a last-minute present with! Today’s discussion is about my favorite, as we will be learning together some REALLY creative ways to DIY no-knit bear plushies for Valentine’s Day and Anniversaries.

Includes the classical ones, such as pom pom bear doll plushie, to the clever ones, like the 1-pom pom bear, and more. I will soon be extending this discussion to show you many other ways. So, continue following me!

My favorite part of these plushies is how you can use supplementary materials to make nice details like the ears, nose, and more. Even with the yarn and ribbon, you can make a scarf for these plushies.

Suggestion #1: Yarn Pom Pom Bear Face

Animal face plushies make the cutest and most satisfying bag charms. So, craft this grizzly bear head plushie just from three pom poms, safety eyes, and a plastic nose. Thicker yarn is recommended to make this plushie fluffy and bigger.

Pretty much the same as the Hello Kitty Face plushie I talked about in the previous discussion, it requires stacking two separate yarn wrappings.

Attach them together and make a combined pom pom. This will let you have a perfect shape for the bear’s head. For the ears, it requires a pair of small ball pom poms.

Suggestion #2: No-Glue Yarn Pom Pom Bear

This yarn bear plushie is crafted from a single stack of three yarn wrappings, which are trimmed later in a clever way. The idea is to make knots on the wrappings before trimming to make parts like ears, arms, and legs.

Then, only trim the remaining portion of each wrapping. All the wrappings are crocheted to work around the same cardboard base.

Another clever idea is how you will wrap some cream yarn around the top wrapping to make the muzzle in the end. Finish with a safety nose and two-color safety beads.

Suggestion #3: Yarn Pom Pom Bear No-Knit

Till now, I have talked about teddy bear plushies with easy ball arms, head, and body. Craft this teddy bear doll plushie if you are looking for a more authentic YARN bear.

This time, there are long doll arms, and a perfect shape of head AND the body. It will also be a bigger plushie, partly due to the thick yarn used.

Requires making oval pom poms for this that I have discussed multiple times in this blog. The difference is how you trim the yarn wrapping. Before gifting, you can attach a ribbon bow to the neck.

Suggestion #4: Craft A Thread Teddy Bear Plushies

Let’s craft these cute mini teddy bear keychains by GLUING sewn balls of yarn wrappings for the body. I 100% recommend you put a trio of these plushies in sand, peach, and white.

There is also a yarn scarf made by cutting a small strand of yarn in a contrasting color. Start with 40 wraps of yarn around 4 fingers and knot from the centre.

Fold the wrapping in half and use a sewing needle to secure the shape it in ball. Similarly, make balls for other parts. For the ears, make two loops using a needle in the head ball, and attach a white pom for the muzzle.

Suggestion #5: Craft A Pom Pom Teddy Bear Plushies

As a Love Present, craft this classic teddy bear plushie wearing a tiny red scarf. For this one, you can choose from peach, dark brown, honey, and sand yarn. For the ears and nose, felt is used and recommended.

Start with 180 wraps around the three fingers to end up with a 4cm ball pom pom after trimming. Craft two of these and attach them to make the body and head.

For the legs, arm, and tail pom pom, make 40 wrappings around 1 finger. Pom pom sizes are proportional, so it does not matter whether the hand is that of an adult or a kid.
