I have already talked about ways to DIY “Pet Plushies” in general and specifically “Puppy Plushies,” too. The next favorite pet in my list is the cat, and so today, I have the following suggestions to DIY no-knit yarn cat plushies in many CLEVER ways other than just pom pom gluing.
That is, you will learn how to make a cat plush from yarn & tissue paper roll, yarn & plastic capsule, and just from a sock, too. I have today CUTE and funny cat plushies, including both standing and sitting cats, and even a legless plushie.
Also, solid cats with bow and neck belt, and even spotted cat plushies. SO, let’s start the talk!
Suggestion #1: Craft A Long Cat Plushie
Let’s DIY a kawaii long-body cat plushie around a toilet paper roll with this method. With a fluffy and long pom pom tail and tiny yarn-wrapping legs and arms, this is the prettiest cat plushie and a bit funny. And with stripes of 2nd color on the body and spots on the head and the tail, it looks even finer!
Chunky yarn is recommended, which lowers the number of turns needed for each wrapping, but if you use a thinner one, be sure to adjust the number.
Don’t worry, the number of turns for each color is mentioned in the tutorial as well as summarized in the description. Luckily, there is no need for cardboard bases to make the pom poms; just change the number of fingers of the hand to adjust the pom diameter.
Suggestion #2: Craft the Loaf Cat Plushie
Around a half tissue paper roll or cardstock cutout, make this standing kitten plush, whether as a Valentine’s Day or birthday gift. This is a loaf cat plushie that you can make in blue, pink, or white with a red ribbon. The diameter of the tissue may be a little bigger, so you will want to reassemble the roll to a smaller radius.
This time, there is no need for hot glue as you let the yarn overlap and make it as bulky as you wish.
This time, the legs are also assembled as you wrap the roll with the help of yarn lengths with tiny legs. The tail is also just a yarn wrapping this time, and made curly. The head is also a pom pom head that looks so cute.
Suggestion #3: Craft A Mini Loaf Cat Plushie

Suggestion #4: Crochet A Ball Body Cat Plushie
Finally, let’s DIY a fluffy and oh-so cute kitty plushie just from pom poms using cardboard bases. For this plushie, you will want a big pom pom for the body, so a cardboard bases are used. These legless plushies will be a pleasant decoration for your room.
Alternate many colors of yarn while making the pom poms to make a spotted multicolored cat, too.
White, honey, and black are my favorite colors to make it. For the tail, you will need stacking yarn wrappings to make a long pom pom, and you will also need additional trimming. After cutting an 8cm by 12cm base, start making it now!

Suggestion #5: Crochet Sitting Cat Plushie
With not (MUCH) cutting, just using a sewing needle on a Lone Sock, you can make this oh-so cute sitting cat plush filled with cotton stuffing.
You can see how well and cool the pose looks! It is made just from one sock, as the cut pieces are again used to make the tail curl around the feet.
After you have done the shaping through the needle, also embroider the whiskers and attach the plastic nose and eyes. For a boy, craft it in blue and for a girl, in pink with a satin ribbon bow, too.
