Free Crochet Cherry On Top Capybara Plushie Pattern

As I promised, here is a free pattern to crochet the big capybara doll plushie with a cherry on its head for gifting to baby girls. This version will be crocheted completely in baby pink with dark pink yarn for the tips of arms and legs, and the ears. While the orange is replaced with the cherry plush, the pattern to crochet it is the same as the crochet orange. Anyhow, I will share the full free capybara pattern here.

The base capybara has the same crochet sleeping capybara face embroidery that has been viral. But this plushie pattern is for a big capybara, and you can even get it bigger with the amigurumi cotton yarn. You can also crochet it for spring. Crochet Cherry Sleeping Capybara Plush: Round-by-Round Pattern

Double Leaf (Lá)

• Second Leaf: Do not fasten off. ch 6 and repeat the same sequence to form the second leaf sharing a base.

Detailed Assembly

• Arms: Pin and sew the flat upper edge of the arms directly between R42 and R43 on the sides of the body.
• Ears: Flatten the hot pink ears and sew them symmetrically to the top of the head around R56 to R58.
• Face Details: Using black embroidery thread, sew a curved, sleepy closed-eye line at R52. Create a wide, upside-down “V” shape nose on the front muzzle at R49–R50, extending a vertical line down with a small horizontal mouth stroke at the bottom.
• Topping: Sew the green double leaf to the top center of the red cherry. Secure the completed cherry securely between the ears on top of the capybara’s head.
