You can make it a baby shower present, a gift for a new mom, or just because. These are the crochet Mochi sheep plushies with a perfect crochet popcorn stitch texture as the fur all around. You can crochet either the black, brown, or white version this summer.

Crochet Textured Sheep Face Plush Guide: Row-by-Row Pattern
Here is the complete and accurate crochet pattern for the Aries Sheep amigurumi based on the video tutorial.
Materials Needed
- Yarn: Milk Cotton yarn (or any medium-weight plush yarn).
- Color A: Cream/White (for the head and ears).
- Color B: Brown (for the fluffy sheep hood/fleece).
- Color C: Pink (a tiny scrap for embroidering the cheek blushes, or you can use real makeup blush).
- Crochet Hook: 2.5mm crochet hook
- Eyes: A pair of 6mm safety eyes.
- Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill.
- Tools: Stitch marker, tapestry needle, scissors, and a hot glue gun (for attaching the decorative top knots, though you can also sew them).

Pattern Instructions
Head
Use Cream/White yarn. Work in continuous rounds.
- Round 1: Make a MR with 6 sc. (6 sts)
- Round 2: 6 inc. (12 sts)
- Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
- Round 4: (1 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc) repeat 6 times. (24 sts)
- Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times. (30 sts)
- Round 6: (2 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc) repeat 6 times. (36 sts)
- Round 7: (5 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times. (42 sts)
- Rounds 8-14: 1 sc in each st around. (42 sts per round)
- Round 15: (5 sc, 1 dec) repeat 6 times. (36 sts)
- Round 16: (2 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc) repeat 6 times. (30 sts)
- Round 17: (3 sc, 1 dec) repeat 6 times. (24 sts)
- Round 18: (1 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
- Round 19: (1 sc, 1 dec) repeat 6 times. (12 sts)
Pause here and stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.
- Round 20: 6 dec. (6 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a tail. Weave the tail through the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches, pull tight to close the hole, and weave in the end.
Ears (Make 2)
Use Cream/White yarn. Work in continuous rounds.
- Round 1: Make a MR with 6 sc. (6 sts)
- Round 2: (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat 3 times. (9 sts)
- Rounds 3-5: 1 sc in each st around. (9 sts per round)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Do not stuff the ears. Flatten the open end of the ear, fold it in half length-wise, and put a few stitches through the base to hold that folded shape.
Fluffy Hood / Fleece Base
Use Brown yarn. CRITICAL INSTRUCTION: For the entire base of the hood (Rounds 1 through 16), you MUST work in the Back Loops Only (BLO). This leaves the front loops open so we can attach the fluffy curls later.
- Round 1 (BLO): Make a MR with 6 sc. (6 sts)
- Round 2 (BLO): 6 inc. (12 sts)
- Round 3 (BLO): (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times. (18 sts)
- Round 4 (BLO): (1 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc) repeat 6 times. (24 sts)
- Round 5 (BLO): (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times. (30 sts)
- Round 6 (BLO): (2 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc) repeat 6 times. (36 sts)
- Round 7 (BLO): (5 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times. (42 sts)
- Rounds 8-16 (BLO): 1 sc in each st around. (42 sts per round)
Fasten off the base and weave in the end.
Creating the Fluffy Curls
Still using Brown yarn. You will now be working into the unworked Front Loops (FLO) that you left behind on the hood base.
- Step 1: Attach your brown yarn to the very first front loop at the top/center of the hood (Round 1).
- Step 2: ch 5.
- Step 3: sc into the very next front loop on that same round.
- Step 4: Repeat Steps 2 & 3 all the way around the circle. (For round 1, you will do this 6 times).
The Skipping Rule: To prevent the fleece from becoming too bulky, you will not crochet loops on every single round.
- After finishing the curls on Round 1, skip Round 2 entirely.
- Ch 5, jump down to the first front loop of Round 3 and anchor it with an sc.
- Continue the (ch 5, sc in next st) pattern all the way around Round 3.
- Skip Round 4.
- Work the curls around Round 5.
Continue this pattern—working curls on one round, then skipping the next round—until you reach the bottom edge (Round 16). When you finish working the curls around the final edge, fasten off and weave in your ends.
Decorative Top Knots / Wool Bobbles (Make 3)
Use Brown yarn (Note: The creator accidentally used white in the video but corrects herself in the text/audio, stating they should match the brown fleece!).
- Small Bobbles (Make 2): Make a MR with 6 sc. sl st to the first st. Fasten off.
- Large Bobble (Make 1): Make a MR with 8 sc. sl st to the first st. Fasten off.
Assembly
- Attach the Hood: Take the cream head and pull the brown fluffy hood over the back and top of it. It should fit snugly.
- Eyes: Insert (or glue) the 6mm safety eyes onto the front of the face. They should be positioned about halfway down the exposed face, with 5 or 6 stitches between them.
- Cheeks: Use a small amount of pink yarn to embroider a horizontal line underneath and slightly to the outside of each eye for a blush effect. (Alternatively, use real pink makeup blush).
- Ears: Sew the folded cream ears to the sides of the head, attaching them securely to the inside edge of the brown hood.
- Top Knots: Glue or sew the three little brown wool bobbles to the top-center edge of the hood, right above the forehead. Place the large one in the middle, and a small one on either side.
