Jiggly Halloween Slime Recipe
Slime Type: Homemade slime without borax (instead using homemade activator), PVA glue for fluffy texture and foam beads.
Edibility: Not edible
Time: 10 minutes (Making + Resting)
Recommended Materials
To get started, you will need to gather the following supplies:
-
White PVA Glue: This will form the base of your slime.
-
Water: You will need a significant amount of water – specifically, about 4 times the amount of glue you use – to get that jiggly “water slime” texture.
-
Orange Food Coloring
-
Black Foam Beads: These add an amazing crunchy texture and complete the classic orange-and-black Halloween color scheme.
-
A Large Mixing Bowl & Spatula/Mixing Stick
Homemade Activator Recipe:
-
1 cup Warm Water
-
1 small detergent spoon of Boric Acid
-
2 small detergent spoons of Baking Soda (Mix these three ingredients together in a separate container until fully dissolved before starting your slime).

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create the Base
-
Start by pouring your white PVA glue into a large, clean mixing bowl.
-
Add a few drops of orange color to the glue.

-
Tip: Start with just a little coloring; you can always add more later if you want a deeper, more vibrant orange!

2. Add the Water
-
Next, pour in your water.
-
Remember the golden ratio for this specific jiggly texture is adding 4 parts water for every 1 part of glue. At first, it will look very thin and separated.

3. Mix Thoroughly
-
Take your spatula and mix, mix, mix!
-
You want to stir continuously until the water, glue, and food coloring are completely blended into a smooth, bright orange liquid.

-
Tip: Stir somewhat gently to avoid creating a massive amount of tiny air bubbles, which can cloud the color of your slime.

4. Activate the Slime
-
Now it’s time to magically transform that liquid into slime! Begin pouring in your pre-mixed homemade activator.

-
Stir the mixture steadily as you add the activator. You will feel it start to thicken and pull away from the edges of the bowl.
-
Tip: Always add your activator a little bit at a time. Because this is a heavily water-based slime, it can take a bit longer to pull together, but adding too much activator all at once will make it hard and rubbery instead of stretchy and jiggly.

5. Add the Halloween Crunch
-
Once your slime is fully activated and has a good consistency, pour a generous mound of black foam beads directly into the center of the orange slime.

-
Finally, ditch the spatula and use your hands to press into the beads, folding and kneading them evenly throughout the slime.

-
The contrast of the black beads against the orange slime looks incredibly festive, and the ASMR crunch is fantastic!
