DIY Barbie Slime with Sprinkles: Recipe (with White Glue)

Learn how to make shaving foam slime following this recipe for beginners:

Materials Needed

  1. White PVA Glue (like Fevicol)
  2. Shaving Foam (the secret for “fluffiness”)
  3. Food Coloring (Pink and Blue for the Barbie theme)
  4. Mixing Bowl and Spatula
  5. Homemade Activator (Warm water, Boric acid, and Baking soda)

Step 1: Base Layer

Pour the 1 cup of white PVA Glue into your mixing bowl.

This glue contains a polymer called polyvinyl acetate, which will work as the foundation for our slime and will keep each portion of the slime glued.

Step 2: Adding the Fluff

Add a generous amount of Shaving Foam (about 2 -3 cups) on top of the glue. The tiny air bubbles trapped in the foam are what give the slime its soft, fluffier texture.

Tip: Use regular foaming shaving cream, not gel. It won’t create the same texture.

Step 3: Barbie Pink

Add a few drops (3–5 drops) of Pink Food Coloring to the mixture. Since it’s a “Barbie” theme, you want a bright pink. It will also make a creamy pink.

Step 4: Use the Color

Mix! Mix! Mix!

Use your spatula to fold the shaving foam and glue together until the color is completely even and there are no white streaks left.

Step 5: The Chemical Change

Slowly add your Homemade Activator. The Boric acid and Baking soda react with the glue to make “cross-links” between the polymer chains, making the liquid start to clump together.

Step 6: Kneading into Slime

Once the mixture pulls away from the sides of the bowl, pick it up and knead it with your hands.

Your Pink Fluffy Slime is ready when it is no longer sticky to the touch.

Step 7: The Blue Slime

To complete the theme, repeat steps 1 through 6 in a separate bowl, but use Blue Food Coloring this time.

Step 8: Portioning the Slime

Now, take small pieces of the pink slime and the blue slime. Place them side-by-side in a clean bowl.

Feels Difficult?

Step 9: Creating the Pattern

Continue alternating small clumps of pink and blue until the bottom of the bowl is completely covered. It should look like a bright, patchy mosaic.

Step 10: The Final Press

Gently press down on the clumps to flatten them into one layer.

You now have a Barbie-Themed Swirl Slime!

And that’s it! This way, you can make a fluffy and stretchy slime out of home-available materials only!
