Today’s DIY glitter sheet snowflake Christmas & winter ornament is simple but REALLY creative. That is, you craft it by joining and hand-knitting the foaming sheet popsicles. To make the popsicle, you will only have to cut a 1 cm by 5 cm strip from each color of glitter sheet. Decorate for the New Year, Christmas Party & even birthdays by making this beautiful glitter sheet 2-color snowflake.
You only need 1 petal pattern to make this snowflake ornament, and for better contrast, use the dark pink with the white. This glitter sheet snowflake also features a royal jewelry button at the bottom.
And luckily, it is a 3D ornament that looks the same on both sides thanks to making 2 layers of the joined petals. You can also make yours in white and blue for winter (whenever there is snow) and orange and white for Halloween. Now, continue reading to learn more about this snowflake project.
Base Pattern for Making the Christmas Snowflake Ornament
You will start by cutting 12 (6 dark pink + 6 white) foaming sheet strips, each measuring 1cm by 5cm. Curve-cut one of the sides of each one of these foaming sheet strips and then glue them to different-coloured sheet strips.
Attach the ends with a glue gun and cut the other sides for rounded corners. Make 6 such popsicle sticks and fold each into a snowflake petal.
