Torn paper art crafts are REALLY the EASIEST and the MOST FORGIVING! Wanna strengthen those tiny arms and hands? Let them tear a thick paper, such as cardstock, into small, uneven pieces.
Apply some glue over the printed template by yourself and guide them to place the pieces one by one in the white area. That’s it!

Summer vacations are around the corner, so this week, I have dedicated the discussion to the CUTEST torn paper craft ideas. They all come with a FREE printable template for the art sketch and glueable cutouts.
Treat this discussion as a TEMPLATE hub, as the remaining process is always simple. I have chosen oh-so-cute and colorful themes, including apple, strawberry, hot air balloon, popsicle sticks, rocket, frog, and many more. So, choose your favorite one, download the template, and start crafting them with kids!

Suggestion #1: Easy Torn Paper Apple Craft For Kids

DIY this oh-so cute “baby worm in an apple” torn paper card for birthdays with a FREE printable template. Along with a sketch for the apple to glue torn paper to, the PDF also includes cutout templates for the smiling worm, its eye, a black hole, two leaves, and the apple stem.
Just guide the kids to glue them on! Perfect for teaching them how to wash the fruits before eating and staying away from rotten fruits in a cute way!

Suggestion #2: Torn Paper Rocket Firework Craft

Again, with a FREE template, let’s make a torn paper rocket firework craft following this guide. It is recommended to separate the rocket from the white paper.
It is a 10-minute activity as only four small sections need to be covered with torn paper. You can use three colors, such as green, pink and blue.
Suggestion #3: Easy and Fun Torn Paper Strawberry Craft

This smiling and googly-eyed torn paper strawberry is entirely covered with torn paper with no visible strokes.
Unlike Suggestion #1 and #2, it also requires assembling the strawberry pieces, including eyes, leaf & smile, and then applying the torn pieces.
Thanks to this, you can layer the leaf over the strawberry. Also, add yellow pieces for seeds! While the paper eye cutouts work fine, you can also use craft wobbly eyes to add 3Dness.
Suggestion #4: Torn Paper Watermelon Craft

This is a 30-minute torn paper drawing activity for preschoolers and results in a cute, googly-eyed watermelon slice on white paper. There is a FREE slice template that you can print first-hand that also includes the stripes for watermelon layers.
This template makes it a simple, easy, and always-rewarding activity. It is recommended to have a thick paper like cardstock in red, green, and parrot.

Suggestion #5: Torn Paper Apple Craft

This is a hands-on torn paper apple craft activity, as it does not require assembling the apple TEMPLATE pieces. Also needs a small amount of torn paper, as you will want to keep the outlines exposed.
Color the stem in brown using a pencil color, and also attach the kawaii eyes and draw a smile.
Suggestion #6: Torn Paper Fall Tree Craft

For fall, craft this torn paper autumn tree card using orange, yellow, and brown. The TEMPLATE has a brown leafless tree, and the kids will glue the small torn papers over the branches.
You can guide them to cover as much as you wish, but be sure to leave parts of branches exposed to make it life-like. Finish with your favorite fall message, especially for back-to-school.
Suggestion #7: Torn Paper Frog Craft

Using green paper scraps, craft this cute this oh-so cute torn paper frog on white printer paper. This has large googly eyes and also a separate tongue that can be attached later on.
Attaching the torn paper over the legs might be a little tricky, as the torn paper may exceed the outlines. I recommend tearing small pieces for these parts!

Suggestion #8: Torn Paper Earth Craft

For Earth Day, my 100% recommendation is this torn paper Earth craft that is super easy to do with the FREE Earth template.
All the kids have to do is glue the blue pieces to the wet regions and the green to the dry regions. Cut out the circle and attach any Earth Day card!
Suggestion #9: Torn Paper Apple Craft

Let’s craft either a green or red apple craft with googly craft eyes, following this tutorial. The free Apple template includes an Apple, a leaf, a stem, and a kawaii white part. They can also add eyelashes over the googly eyes.
