This is not my first discussion on SUMMER crafts. I have already talked about the ways to craft for summer in general and watermelon crafts in particular. If you are interested, check them afterwards, too.
Craft A Rubber Band Pineapple
Loomigurumi is an interesting NEW type of crochet amigurumi. It differs from standard amigurumi in the choice of material. That is a pack of rubber bands that are joined to the hook as you go. These tiny Loominigurumi pineapple squishies look irresistibly cute.
You will need 81 yellow, 12 green, 2 pink, and one black rubber band. Because low-quality rubber bands may stick, it is recommended to have a standard LOOM rubber band pack.
Craft A Pineapple Jar Craft
This pineapple candle lantern can be crafted with any size of glass jar. First, cover the jar with small pieces of yellow tissue paper using Mod Podge.
As the jar gets dry, use black acrylic paint to draw a pineapple texture. You can draw cross or V lines. For the lid, take long leaf cutouts from green felt and glue them to the lid before painting it green. You can better learn from a video tutorial below.
Craft A Colored Pineapple
This is undoubtedly the most colorful and out-of-the-box pineapple craft. The idea is to make a striped arrangement of painted seashells on a big cardboard pineapple. It can be used as a piece of wall art and can hold keys and other lightweight stuff.
You will want to make a layered, life-like arrangement of leaves. It requires crafting leaves in different sizes and adding a texture using yellow paint.
Craft A Pineapple Box
For kids, craft this round cardboard and paper box with a kawaii pineapple face drawing on the lid and a Hawaiian flower crown. On the inside, this box has three separators that will let you make four sections for your supplies.
With this, you can separately organize your crafting supplies, stationary and jewelry. Between the Lid and inside is a cap to keep longer supplies like hooks, markers, and stuff like that.
Easy Paper Pineapple Craft for Kids
This easy pineapple craft activity requires a diamond and handprint cutouts to make a life-like pineapple. The first challenge is to cut diamonds of the same size which requires first drawing vertical lines and then angled lines spaced by the same distance.
After you have cut and attached a dark yellow pineapple shape on blue, attach these diamonds all along. A few diamonds may be required to be cut in half.
Craft A Pineapple Planter
A pineapple crown can be grown into a new plant. If you are looking for planting one, beautify your planter with this clever pineapple craft. The idea is to paint the pineapple skin on a 1.5-dollar terra cotta pot and sowing a pineapple stem onto it.
After the paint is dry, you can apply a clear sealer to protect the design, as you will want to keep it outdoors.
Cute Pineapple Felt DIY Tutorial
This LATELY published pineapple hand-sewn plushie is designed as a Valentine’s Day gift. The idea is to cut heart sunglasses from pink felt, add blush, colored big safety eyes, embroidered eyebrows, and eyelashes.
Unlike the one I showed last time, this one has an improved cutout pattern with a longer bottom and spiky leaves.
Craft A Pineapple Face Craft
This is an easy paper plate pineapple craft with a FREE printable template for kawaii eyes, mouth, blush, and the base shape. So, it should be an easy activity for kids. You have to help them cut right from the middle of the plate.
There is also a crisscross pattern on the painted face. Green tissue paper is cut into spikes, crinkled, and attached to the back.
Craft A Pineapple Backpack
Learn how to sew a pineapple backpack for kids using a patterned yellow and white fabric. This is a drawstring backpack with hand-sewn leaves all around the rim, bead stoppers, and lining inside. This is an older (published in 2025) but still worth it idea.
After that much time, it is difficult to find the same fabric. Instead, you can also use a solid yellow or diamond white and yellow-patterned fabric.
DIY Hawaiian Luau Decorations
This DIY pineapple centerpiece is a clever way to decorate for a Hawaiian luau. With that said, it will let you recycle old soda cans. Using a Cricut machine, you cut and score yellow paper to wrap around a can, which makes a 3D diamond pattern on the can.
Green cardstock is used to craft the pineapple’s crown. The template for the crown, as well as the 3D diamond pattern, is available to download. You will also learn the tool instructions to score the print for the yellow part.
Paper Plate Pineapple Craft for Kids
If you are looking for the easiest pineapple craft, make this pineapple plate for summer parties. To make it, you use a yellow paper plate as the body of the fruit, or paint a white plate yellow.
After drying, attach diamond cutouts of felt in brown on the inside of the plate and two leaf cutouts in the back. You can also cut handprints to make the crown.
DIY Pinapple Fans
Let’s craft the pop-up paper fans in either pineapple or watermelon variation with this tutorial. You can collapse this fan and reopen it when needed, all thanks to the accordion-fold.
It also requires jumbo popsticks and a small band for closing. You will want to attach stripes of different-colored sheets to a rectangle in the main color.
