This is the 4th and the last part of the “crochet miniature dressed animals” plushie series. And today, you can learn how to crochet this little dog in overalls doll plush that only needs the new ear and muzzle pattern in addition to the base. We shall crochet it in brown and beige, paired with a blue overall. This kawaii dog plushie will be a hit with kids, as it is simply adorable.
We also have to change the color once for the head pattern, but it should be easier to crochet for everyone. You can also check the crocheted dressed bunny, baby chicken, and baby pig on overalls plush as they are crocheted with the same base pattern. 7. Detailed Assembly Guide
- Attaching Head to Body:
- Position the two-tone head on top of the open neck of the white body. Ensure the color change line (R11/R12) is straight and aligned horizontally.
- Whipstitch the opening of the body (18 sts) to the opening of the head (18 sts). Add extra stuffing to the neck cavity right before closing the seam.
- Attaching the Snout:
- Pin the snout right between the eyes, resting purely in the white section of the lower face (around Rounds 13-15).
- Add a tiny pinch of stuffing underneath the snout for dimension, then sew it securely in place.
- Attaching the Ears:
- Pin the wide base (the dc stitch side) of the brown ears to the sides of the head in the brown section (around Rounds 5 to 7).
- Sew them in place so they flop downwards nicely.
- Attaching the Arms:
- Pin the arms to the sides of the body, just below the neck seam. Sew the flat tops securely to the body.
- Dressing the Dog:
- Wrap the camisole around the body, threading the arms through the chain-5 armholes.
- Tie the vest closed at the front using a small strand of matching yarn, or leave it hanging open casually.
