Eye Placement
Stop here to place the safety eyes. Insert them between Rounds 15 and 16. Put the first eye at approximately the 21st stitch of the row and the second eye at the 27th stitch. There should be 5 stitches visible between the eyes. Secure the backings tightly.

Assembly & Face Details
Inner Ear Detail
Using your pink yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider two layered “V” shapes onto the front center of each black ear to create the pink inner-ear look.
Sewing the Ears
Flatten the ears slightly and sew them to the top sides of the orange pumpkin, roughly around Rounds 7 to 10, framing the stem nicely.
Embroidering the Face
Nose: Using black yarn, embroider a small upside-down triangle right between the eyes.
Mouth: Bring the black yarn down from the point of the nose to make a small vertical line, then split it into a wide, gentle “W” shape for a classic cat smile. Add tiny horizontal lines at the edges for eyebrows just above the eyes.
Fangs: Using pink yarn, embroider two tiny vertical lines pointing downward from the loops of the mouth to give your cat pumpkin its adorable little vampire fangs!
